O’ Spine of Mine

The age of 25,

Full of energy, full of life,

But not of mine,

I have a problem in my spine,

They named it slipped disk,

In its pain I shall sink;

Difficulty in sleeping and even more,

MRI says it is between L3-L4,

Left leg is numb in the morning,

Tingling sensation but not very relaxing,

Tried many pills and tablets,

Slept gazing at the ceiling’s plaster of Paris,

Unable to walk or travel,

Youth wasted, paths unraveled,

It’s getting better now,

Lifting from my knees and avoiding bending somehow,

But I am 25,

I need to be full of energy, full of life,

Hope, soon I will be fine,

Heal, o’ spine of mine.
