Just a Lock

I keep your stuff safe,

Your secrets are secure with me,

Alone, no purpose I have,

Companions needed to lock what is free,

Sometimes I help cage the demon,

Sometimes I chain the child inside,

Sometimes it’s better to let the past be hidden,

Sometimes don’t let the failures decide,

I am just a lock,

I am broken now,

The possessions you stocked,

Are before the world now,

The demons are free,

But the child isn’t,

Passion is to be unlocked, find its key,

I am physical, not a mental block,

Some locks are necessary, some not,

Mind full of thoughts.
