The Omnipresent Conundrum

Today, to be seen or not be seen that is the question,
Hiding our voices behind the textual conversation,
The Gods possessed this power according to the myths,
Now, we are virtually present everywhere as it suits and fits,
Eyes contact is necessary for a new talk,
But our sights are glued to our screens and the whole reciprocity goes out the park.

For I can be at many places at once,
For I am the new human, I am virtual, I am omnipresent.

Relationships don't just have to survive the test of unfurling times,
But they also have to breathe under the shadow of lurking number climbs,
Number of likes, comments, followers, views and share,
Our connections are quantified and our every step is seen by someone's stare.
The trending hashtags,  making people aware of our lives willingly,
Supporting the cause over it instead of raising our voices actually.

For I can be at many places at once,
For I am the new human, I am virtual, I am omnipresent.

The virtual picture never seems to get aged, so a continuous change is required,
The food one ate, the gift one got, the so called selfie, something new is desired,
The real laughter or the burning angst one has to show always,
An emoji, our new hysterical companion helps in many ways,
But is this a friend or just another medium to hide what we really do,
We have become fluent in expressing emotions in written form too,

For I can be at many places at once,
For I am the new human, I am virtual, I am omnipresent.

I too share this on the virtual world,
I cannot be the one who judges as to how the talks get curled,
For my mind is full of thoughts,
And it is also present at many places at once.
